Robert Berman started Rasta Imposta in 1992 when he created the Original Rasta Tam. The dreadlock hats became Rasta Imposta’s signature line as a successful headwear manufacturer.
In 1998, Rasta Imposta introduced a collection of costumes to complement its existing line of hats. Our catalog now features more than 400 items!

Rasta Imposta was the first company to introduce The Bag Bootique™, our Halloween Handbag line to the industry in 2006. With the addition of two new members to the Berman Family this year, Avi and Charlotte, we are proud to announce our Future Professionals Line of costumes for babies and toddlers including the Future Tycoon, Future Golfer, Future Doctor and Future Nurse!
